ADOB Na

Characteristics

ADOB® Na is a multinutrient, multifunctional liquid fertiliser specifically designated for the foliar feeding of sugar beet crops. It contains nitrate-nitrogen (which is the preferred type of nitrogen for this crop) and very high levels of sodium (Na, 10%). The micronutrients boron (B), copper (Cu) and manganese (Mn) are also present. Copper and manganese are chelated by the classic EDTA agent, while boron (which cannot be chelated) is present as a water-soluble, inorganic component. This ensures that all nutrients are readily and quickly available to sugar beet plants.

Interestingly, it has been proven that in sugar beet, as well as in other natrophilic species (such as beetroot and turnip) and potato plants, sodium can replace potassium in a number of functions, such as maintaining plant osmoticum for cell enlargement and acting as an accompanying cation for long-distance sugar transportation within plants.

ADOB® Na ensures the optimal development of sugar beet roots and increases their sugar content. It also boosts plants’ vigour, health and tolerance to occasional water deficit stresses.
